Tivoli Gardens, or just Tivoli, is a Danish amusement park and pleasure garden located in Copenhagen. The park, which opened on August 15, 1843, is the third-oldest amusement park still in operation worldwide, behind Wurstelprater in Vienna, Austria, and Dyrehavsbakken in adjacent Klampenborg, Denmark.
In 2024, Tivoli will have received 4.25 million visitors, making it the most popular amusement park in Scandinavia and the second most popular seasonal amusement park globally, after Europa-Park. After Walt Disney Studios Park, Disneyland Park, Efteling, and Europa-Park, Tivoli is the sixth most popular amusement park in Europe. It is situated near to the Central train station in the heart of Copenhagen.

181 years ago, on August 15, 1843.The original name of the amusement park was "Tivoli & Vauxhall," with "Tivoli" referring to the Jardin de Tivoli in Paris (which had been named after Tivoli near Rome, Italy) and "Vauxhall" referring to London's Vauxhall Gardens. In addition to being utilized extensively in the 1961 science fiction movie Reptilicus, it is mentioned in a number of literature, including Lois Lowry's Number the Stars.
