Hans Christian Andersen Museum, Denmark

The Hans Christian Andersen Museum, also known as H.C. Andersens Odense, is a collection of museums and structures in Odense, Denmark, honoring the well-known author. Throughout the years, some of these have served as the primary museum devoted to the author in Odense.
The H.C. Andersen Museum (current museum), the H.C. Andersen Birthplace (original museum), the H.C. Andersen Childhood Home, and even Møntergården (city museum) are parts of them. In late 2020, a brand-new exhibit called House of Fairytales (also known as the New H.C. Andersen Museum) is scheduled to open. The structure that is believed to be his birthplace (though not confirmed) is a modest yellow home on the corner of 45 Hans Jensens Straede and Bangs Boder street in the old town. It is called H.C. Andersen's Hus in Danish. The home reopened as the H.C. Andersen Museum in 1908. It chronicles his life from his early years as the son of a shoemaker to his education, writing career, and later years, with artifacts offering a glimpse into his friends and travels. Because of the Danish inscription at the front door that reads, "H.C. Andersen's Hus," the birthplace is also known as "H.C. Andersen's House."
