LEGO House, Denmark

"Home of the Brick" or LEGO House is the ultimate experience center located in Billund, the birthplace of the LEGO brick. 25 million LEGO bricks, LEGO waterfalls, and enormous animals and vegetation occupy 12,000 square meters of space. The house provides experiences for kids and adults of all ages who wish to explore the limitless possibilities of Learning through Play with the LEGO brick and grow creatively. Located in Billund, Denmark, close to Legoland and The Lego Group's headquarters, Lego House is a 12,000-square-meter structure that is packed with 25 million Lego bricks. In relation to Billund, the birthplace of Lego, it is often referred to as the "Home of the Brick." Among the many activities available to visitors include building with Lego bricks both digitally and physically, programming robots, and animating models. Four experience zones, two exhibitions, and the Lego Museum—which highlights the company's and brand's history—are all part of the center's guest experience.Lego House has received praise for its creative design that sought to embody the Lego name. The structure has nine roof terraces with kid-friendly play spaces and 21 staggered blocks that resemble Lego bricks. The Bjarke Ingels Group designed the home, which was officially opened on September 28, 2017. Lego System A/S is the owner and caretaker of the structure.The Lego Idea House, situated on Billund's main street, served as the model for Lego House. The goal of creating Lego House was to inspire guests to play and engage with Lego bricks while simultaneously showcasing the company's history and core principles.
