The town of Kutná Hora is located in the Czech Republic's Central Bohemian Region. There are roughly 22,000 people living there. Kutná Hora's history is associated with silver mine, which contributed to its wealth and quick development. Located on the grounds of the old Cistercian monastery in Sedlec, a tobacco factory was established in Kutná Hora in 1812. Cigarette manufacture started in 1882. Since 1992, Philip Morris ČR, a division of Philip Morris International, has owned the facility. The company has about 800 employees in Kutná Hora.[13]
