Popeye Village, Malta

Popeye Village, sometimes called Sweethaven Village, is a collection of dilapidated and rustic wooden structures that was originally constructed as a movie set village and transformed into a tiny amusement park. The town center of Mellieħa, Malta, approximately 3 kilometers (2 km) away from Prajjet Bay/Anchor Bay.

It was constructed as a set for the 1980 live-action musical feature picture Popeye, which starred Shelley Duvall and Robin Williams and was produced by Paramount Pictures and Walt Disney Productions. It is accessible to the general public as a beach resort and outdoor museum.In addition to the actual movie set, Popeye Village offers a variety of family-friendly attractions that are open to the public seven days a week. In addition to play houses where kids can climb and explore the village, there are performances, rides, and museums. Youngsters can interact with the film's principal characters, including Bluto, Olive Oyl, Popeye, and Wimpy.A 15-minute history and information audio-visual exhibition featuring snippets from the movie and the set's development is available to guests at Popeye Village's Lower Complex. There is a show every hour in the theater, which can hold about 40 people.

Each dance in the production, which features a number of well-known and lesser-known singers, has been meticulously planned. During this performance, the Popeye theme song is sung by all of the Popeye characters gathered on stage.
