Popeye Village, sometimes called Sweethaven Village, is a collection of dilapidated and rustic wooden structures that was originally constructed as a movie set village and transformed into a tiny amusement park. The town center of Mellieħa, Malta, approximately 3 kilometers (2 km) away from Prajjet Bay/Anchor Bay. It was constructed as a set for the 1980 live-action musical feature picture Popeye, which starred Shelley Duvall and Robin Williams and was produced by Paramount Pictures and Walt Disney Productions. It is accessible to the general public as a beach resort and outdoor museum.In addition to the actual movie set, Popeye Village offers a variety of family-friendly attractions that are open to the public seven days a week. In addition to play houses where kids can climb and explore the village, there are performances, rides, and museums. Youngsters can interact with the film's principal characters, including Bluto, Olive Oyl, Popeye, and Wimpy.A 15-minute history and information audio-visual exhibition featuring snippets from the movie and the set's development is available to guests at Popeye Village's Lower Complex. One of Malta's bays and sandy beaches is called Golden Bay. Military Bay was the prior name for it.Swimmers can simply walk into the sea because of the white beach's gentle slope. There are lifeguards on duty during the summer. The most visited beach in the Manikata area is Golden Bay. On the beach are a number of beach clubs and a sizable hotel. Also close by is the Ghajn Tuffieha International Scout Campsite, which provides everyone with an all-year camping experience.Golden Bay has a parking lot and a bus stop.Bus travel is a convenient and easy way to get to the bay. Google Maps will give you instructions from where you are if you set your destination to Għajn Tuffieħa Bus Terminus. The nearest bus stop to Golden Bay is this one; do not get off at Riviera, which is the stop right before, as this is not the one for Golden Bay. In the summer months, plan your travel carefully, as buses can fill up quickly. If you find it full, you might have to wait for the next one. Here's a guide to make your trip from popular locations smoother:   From Malta International Airport: Catch the X3 to Qawra Terminus. It leaves every hour from 5:30 AM to 6:30 PM, and the trip takes about an hour. Once in Qawra, switch to the 223 for Golden Bay.  

The term "Blue Grotto" describes a group of marine caverns on Malta's south-east coast, which are not far from Wied iż-Żurrieq's fishing harbor boundaries. According to a 1910 court battle between the villages of Qrendi and Zurrieq over their respective authority, which was decided in favor of Qrendi, Wied iz-Zurrieq, the Blue Grotto, and nearby caverns are all situated inside the boundaries of Qrendi village as defined by the Local Council Act of 1993.On the opposite side of the tiny, uninhabited islet of Filfla, a bird sanctuary, lie the Wied iz-Zurrieq harbor and the Blue Grotto sea caverns. While some caverns display a deep, dark shade of blue, others also reflect the vivid phosphorescent colors of the underwater vegetation and animals Diverse hues of red, mauve, green, orange, and yellow provide tourists with a spectacular underwater view.Boat cruises to the Blue Grotto are available year-round, weather permitting, and the caves are a popular tourist site in Malta. In addition to rock climbing, the most popular sports here are snorkeling along the shoreline and scuba diving on the adjacent wreck Um El Faroud. Filmmakers have used the location numerous times for both big-screen and television projects, including Hell Boats, The Amazing Race's 25th season, Cadbury Milk Tray chocolate advertisements, and the Rai 2 travel show Sereno Variabile, in addition to smaller commissions and picture shoots.

The Hypogeum of Ħal Saflieni is a Neolithic underground building near Paola, Malta, that dates to the Saflieni period (3300–3000 BC) of Maltese prehistory. Since the word "hypogeum" literally means "underground" in Greek, it is frequently just called that. One of the best-preserved instances of the Maltese temple-building civilization that also produced the Megalithic Temples and Xagħra Stone Circle, the Hypogeum is believed to have been a sanctuary and necropolis, with archaeologists documenting the remains of over 7,000 people.With three floors hewn into soft globigerina limestone, the Hypogeum is completely subterranean. Its halls and chambers are connected by a maze-like system of steps, lintels, and doors. It is believed that the middle and lower levels were later dug and enlarged after the upper level was occupied first. The style of several of the intermediate chambers seems to be similar to that of the Megalithic Temples that were built in Malta at the same time.One of Malta's most visited attractions is the Hal Saflieni prehistoric Hypogeum site. Only about 80 people are permitted each day due to conservation concerns. It is therefore strongly advised to purchase tickets online several months in advance. During the winter, the site is open from 9:00, and throughout the rest of the year, it is open from 10:00.The Gozo Museum of Archeology and Fort St. Elmo in Valletta are the only places to buy twenty last-minute tickets the day before. This is only good till noon. Other Heritage Malta locations and institutions, such as the National Museum of Archaeology, Domus Romana, and the Hypogeum itself, also sell similar last-minute tickets after midday.
