Ceský Krumlov Castle, Czech Republic

The South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic is home to the castle known as Český Krumlov. The Vítkovci family, the principal branch of the wealthy Bohemian family Rosenberg, constructed the first castle around 1253.The castle is currently a popular tourist destination because it is recognized as a national heritage monument. After Prague Castle, it is the second-largest castle and chateau complex in the Czech Republic and the second most visited castle.Additional attractions include vintage furniture, exquisite décor, and historical collections of tapestries and paintings. The 40 structures that make up the Ceský Krumlov Castle complex include gardens, castle courts, and exquisite medieval palaces. Wandering the grounds may easily take a visitor several days, but those who wish to see the main attractions would prefer one of the various English-language guided tours.
