Transylvanian Alps, Romania

Romania's Transylvania region is among the coldest because of its hilly location. July is the hottest month, with an average temperature of 20°C (68°F), while January is the coldest, with an average temperature of -2°C (28°F).
If you enjoy winter sports, the winter months are ideal for travel. Snowshoeing, snowboarding, and skiing are all excellent activities in the Transylvanian Alps. It's not the best time to visit cities because it gets rather chilly, but the area looks happy and festive during the Christmas markets in November and December. The Petroşani is the only significant intermontane depression. The Carpathian mountains are a component of the Alpine–Himalayan system and the eastern arm of the European Alpine fold chain. They were developed during the Cenozoic era, or around the last 65 million years. The Carpathians' location on the border between western and eastern Europe is reflected in their climate, which is dominated by oceanic air masses from the west during other seasons and dominated by polar-continental air masses that arrive from the east and northeast during the winter.
